Produced from fruit grown on our Steinhardts Road Vineyard, the 2012 Estate Reserve Merlot was fermented in traditional small open vats, hand plunged at regular intervals then pressed to a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads.
TASTING NOTES: Bright cherry hues with enticing and complex aromatics of forest fruits and vanilla spice. The palate exudes soft red berry, mint and plum with hints of tanned leather and cinnamon. An opulent texture supported by supple tannins and a touch of French oak will allow this wine to develop complexity in the bottle with careful cellaring.
SUGGESTED FOODS: Roast Chicken with grilled Mediterranean vegetables or Chinese style duck pancake.
