Produced from fruit grown on our Clovely Lane vineyard, the 2012 Estate Reserve Shiraz was fermented in traditional small open vats, hand plunged at regular intervals then pressed to a combination of new and seasoned oak hogsheads. Only select barrels are then chosen in the final blend.
TASTING NOTES: Cherry red hues with enticing aromas of blackberry, vanilla and choc mint. The palate is rich and elegant with fleshy plum, blueberry, white pepper and charcuterie. Powerful oak tannins have integrated seamlessly with the ripe fruit and juicy acidity giving a wine of significant length and structure. This wine will continue to develop complexity with careful cellaring.
SUGGESTED FOODS: Braised beef cheeks and other rich, slow cooked dishes or black pepper crusted eye fillet steak.
