Our 2016 Sangiovese Rosé was made by leaving the juice in contact with the skins for approximately 6 hours in the press to gain its stunning colour and fruit flavours, before pressing off into a tank and fermenting cool as we do for our whites. It is a slightly off dry style, with excellent mouth-feel and defined structure stemming from fine, light Sangiovese tannins which have been allowed to persist for added complexity.
TASTING NOTES: Bright and vibrant and full of classic rosé characters such as strawberries and cranberry as well as hints of dried apricot and Turkish delight. Generous fruit on the palate and lovely acidity with a clean sophisticated finish.
SUGGESTED FOODS: Fresh local seafood and seasonal salads, as well as light pastas, or Asian dishes with a hint of spice.
